Finally got on a field today that I have been scouting for a few weeks. The pups started showing up last week and today I put the 6mm AI in play along with the 6 BR.

6 BR is an 8 TW with 105 gr Berger Hunting VLD and the 6mm AI is a 14 TW with 75 gr V-Max.

I had one hit that made its way back down the hole as I believe I hit it low with the Berger at 465 yrds.

The 6AI at around 250 yrds didn't have any trouble SNERTING a few. Shots taken with fireforming brass.

Just rechecked your thread, you're running a 75gr Vmax in that 6ai!!?? Just out of curiosity, what kind of muzzle velocity are you seeing, or have you ran a fireformed round across the chrony yet? Holy geez I bet that will make for some hamburger for the vultures. And what a WWHHHOOOMPH when it hits. WD

I am chrono testing as we speak. Getting about 3858-3870 with a little left in the pot but I don't dare push it any harder.

You can clearly hear the thud when you hit a chuck...even at 400 yards if it's a body hit

Passed thru in whirlwind to get home...TN to NY in 12 hours. Home now, sorting out the camper and getting re-acquanted with my bride who manned the fort while I travelled for a month.

I will post photos of my 1st PD hunt and get a total on the hit/miss ratio (gasp) with a confirmed 234 or more DRT. I can see how it can be addicting.

Oh, and the i-81 corridor had chucks all along it, mostly south of 80. grass is up here...surprised me it grew that much
