39g sbk how often do they make them

Unfortunately, a number of 12 twist .20 cal. factory barrels won't fully stabilize the 40 V-Max, but the 39 BK works in them. Absent the 39 BK, the only economical choice is the 32 gr. bullets, which don't buck the wind as well. I've bought a few faster twist .204 barrels for this reason and will probably chamber them up next year as I will be out of 39 BK's by then for sure.

For those of you that have shot the Hornadys and Nosler, are you seeing similar differences in group sizes compared to the Sierras?

In the four or five rifles I've shot both the 32 and 40 v-Max and the 39 BK's, the BK's shot just slightly better in three of them. The accuracy was so close between them that anything within 275 yards resulted in few misses on gopher-sized squirrels. Before this period of things getting tough to buy - I also bought a bunch of Nosler Varmageddon bullets as back-ups. I have not tried them, so can't report. But I too, am interested as to how the Nosler bullets shoot compared to the V-max and Sierra Blitz King.

I just picked up 500 of the 40g and had started loading up some to do ladder tests in .2 increments.
A was fortunate to get a almost full box of the sbks. I am wanting to try those out so bad but forcing myself to not get distracted till I finish this ladder test

I've found that it's really dependent on the barrel for those with a 12-twist. My CZ shoots them pretty good but my R700 not well enough to my satisfaction

I've never tried the Nosler 40's but truthfully, I don't see Noslers laying around either in 20-CAL.

All good 20 cal bullets are hard to find right now. I had heard that production was going to halt on them for a bit to catch up with other higher demand projectiles

I recently bought a Contender in 204. I guess I was out of the loop and sold all my brass. A friend had some so he shared a little with me. The only bullets on the shelves around Tulsa are Hornady 32 and 40 grain V-Max and some 26 grain Barnes. Lucky for me, the 32's shoot really well. I haven't tried the 40 grain as of yet. Like everyone else, I'd love to get some 39 grain BK's.

The answer to your question is NOT OFTEN ENOUGH. Try some of the custom bullet makers . Their bullets are excellent and they will give you a ship date.

If yout talking the 39 20 cal TNT they have shot excellent for me.
