39 sierra bk's available

I saw a report on another forum that Sierra store had the 39's for sale today. Several members claim to have bought some. Hope so.

It would suck to be a LARGE distributor or even worse a LGS in these times. The mfg cuts your throat by selling a highly desired product at MSRP before you ever see any.........classy move Sierra

What sucks is trying to shoot a bullet that will break you shooting sage rats a year.

I was doing the math on ordering a thousand and think I’m going to just put that money towards a newer barrel with faster twist to shoot the 40 vmax which I can always find and about half the cost.
On plus note I have a good stash of them

I've ordered a lot of components from BC over the years and they are always great to work with! Been waiting for them to get the 39gr BK's back in stock.

Be nice if Sierra would make/sell those 36gr BK's they put in their 204 Ruger ammo as a bullet you could buy on its own.

Yes, at first I thought the 36 was some sort of typo, but it must be a new design and I haven't seen one yet.



They show this bullet with a BC of 0.255
Their BC for the 39 is show like this, so we can only conclude these are different bullets.

Their 32 is a flat base and has a different BC, shown as 0.221 at best.

This implies the new bullet has some amount of boat tail and an efficient ogive. Time will tell.

The 36 would be an awesome bullet for all the 12 twist rifle and pistols out there.
All the guys with nine twist guns could sure use a 48 -50 grain poly tip bullet as well
I’ve always wondered what Sierra and Hornady are waiting for even before this supply chain b.s. , maybe one day .

That 40 grain VMAX is awesome in my 1 in 12 twist Howa, 223.
