"Eye Ball" your Cases after charging to, make SURE that that they are ALL, the Same "Level" as Unique was, "Bridging" when "Thrown" from, my old Redding Powder Measure and the Charges Varied about, 1/2 a grain or So ( Sometimes getting several out of, 50 thrown ). Some Powder Measures seem Work better, than Others !I loaded about thirty cases last night. I used the Unique, that's what I have. Mobility and energy issues slow me down on shopping and the hazmat fees are outasite. The Unique is old ($13.50/lb), it may be a little different from the current powder. It meters very well thru my near 50 y.o. Lyman Ideal #55 measure. If I'm able to make this all work, I may try another powder when I'm out of Unique. I know there are many new powders available that may be better. But being old and impaired this adventure my not go as planned.
Thank you for your input and taking the time to help me.
My procedure after setting the measure, throw a charge, weigh it, put it in the case, eyeball it, and 1/2 way seat the bullet, go to the next case. No chance of a double charge, eliminate the opportunity to screw up. After all are charged, I go back and seat the bullets the proper amount, then crimp. I think my method is pretty much fool proof. Now to get out and try 'em, may be Monday will work."Eye Ball" your Cases after charging to, make SURE that that they are ALL, the Same "Level" as Unique was, "Bridging" when "Thrown" from, my old Redding Powder Measure and the Charges Varied about, 1/2 a grain or So ( Sometimes getting several out of, 50 thrown ). Good Luck, George and stay Safe !
