34 mm tube rings

I have been using a 30mm tube NF NXS scope with a 56 mm front objective lens. Defiance Ruckus action, with Bartlein MTU #7 contour barrel. Currently I am using 1.125 height 30mm NF rings to clear the MTU contour barrel.

I recently purchased a 34mm NF ATACR scope with a 56 mm front objective lens. Will I need to use higher height rings using a 34mm tube scope? I hate buying rings which do not fit, and having to return them. Which height - 1.250, 1.375 or 1.500?

What do you all think?

Thanks

It depends on the action, barrel profile and the mount/bases you use. A picture of your current setup would help. Because the objective diameter is the same, it's likely that the same ring height would work. How much clearance do you currently have?

I used NF 34mm XX-high 1.5" on this rifle with Sightron S6 56mm objective lens. As you can see there is not a lot of space under the scope with cap installed. Whatta Hobby!

If you're using Nightforce rings the measurement of the ring is to the center of the scope tube so 1.125" should work for the 34mm tube also. That's what I use on my 56mm objective scopes.

I don't believe that would work on a rifle with the full rail on the top. I usually keep all sizes of NF rings in the shop and nothing cleared until I tried the 1.5". Just 1/8" clearance with this set up. Whatta Hobby!

I don't think the OP said anything about having a rail on top of the barrel.
