Has anyone tried to neck the 6.5x47 Lapua up to 338 was looking for a short range deer rifle with a bit more performance than the 338 benchrest. was wondering if it had been done and with what success?

have a 338 Federal and it really is the simple solution to what you ask

not the most fun with case forming for your own wildcat but.....
