Not sure what case size you are talking about but I have a 30x47 based on the 300 savage case which is basically pushing the shoulder back 10 thousands inch and leaving it the same OAL. I use 42 grs IMR4895 with 125 Ballistic Tips or Speer TNT for average 2850 fps in a 24" barrel. I got the rifle, Ruger 77 with Canjar trigger and varmint barrel of unknown make, in an estate sale with loading dies and some cases for a song. The fellow had just had it made for hunter class bench rest shooting and had not shot it over 50 times which he documented using cast bullets before he up and died. This rifle was made in the early 80s and his wife did nothing with his stuff until about 2005 when she found she had cancer and would die soon. She contacted a friend of mine to liquidate everything. This rifle is a shooter. I mainly use it for deer hunting but it is boringly accurate with most any bullet I have tried. IMR4895 seems to be the powder with 125 through 168 gr that I have tried.

The 6.5x47 Lapua necked up to 30 closely replicates the old 300 Savage-based 30x47. It's been very popular in HBR.
