30BR

Any new updates for the 30BR? I have most o he original information, just wondering if there was anything new - like loads, powder, bullets the whole picture.

Thanks to all of you!

This is a new load I tried in my 30BR recently that shot very accurately. 125 gr. Sierra TMK POWDER 33.0 GR. VV-N133 PRIMER FED 205M @ .010 OTL

Have tried Nosler 125 BT & AB, Speer 125 HP FB as well but none were quite as accurate.

Oh yea I have Bart's. I was just trying a few heavier bullets to see how my rifle would group with them. This is my target yesterday with Bart's 112 gr. 34.7 gr. H-4198 CCI BR-4 @ .010 OTL

Hey Mr Norris, a tip from an old guy. That knobby thing on the top of your scope....If you give it a tiny crank counterclockwise those shots will turn into wipeouts, lol. I enjoyed seeing your target with Barts 112's. I have never shot them but Kim called the other day and said my order for them is currently in production. Gonna be tough next year. For the first time ever I will not be shooting Hammonds bullets in my PPC and not shooting Eubers in my 30BR. Did I mention I hate change.

Yea, I just sit down and shot . Didn't touch a thing. Wanted to see if the load would duplicate. It's hard to beat them 112 Bart's. I'm satisfied you will like them too. You will most likely find a good node around 34.5 to 35.0 gr. of H-4198.

LT-30 did well in my rifle but not as good as H-4198 or VV-N130
I am not one to unnecessarily recreate the wheel. However, H4198 is presently unobtainable. You can find N130, but I figured I will give Lt30, H322, Re7 and maybe I4198, Lt32 and N120 a run since I have them. If I can’t get any of them to shoot, I will just wait until H4198 is available. Just a matter of time.

Well Bill, you’re doing better than I did with the Sierra 125s. My 17 twist with 4198 had them going side ways into the target. I talked to Randy Robinette and he said they were tooooo long!

WOW, It is a fairly long bullet no doubt.

I'll come together for you no doubt. It don't take much of a change at all with the 30BR. Move slightly with changes going forward.
