Savage 12BR @ Keiger barrel 30BR. I am ready to load my prepared brass (6BR up to 30). Would like to fire form brass after neck turning etc. I have a lot of 110 grain Sierra for a 30 Carbine (not going to be ever used) Anything wrong with using them for this and can anyone tell me a load that would be sufficient for my intended purpose? (.330 chamber on the Krieger and necks turned to .328)

I'm the same as you. Custom match 30 cal. bullets are in the .45 each price range, so I also use anything less costly.

I do the first firing with my standard powder charges, either 33 grs. of Benchmark or 34 grs. of H4198. Cases form perfectly & fully with the first firing.

Thanks....wanted to double check and I will not use those 200 some carbine bullets so instead of watching them turn green over the years I now have a use for them

I also use the Serria 110 gr. with 34 grains 4198 for fireforming cases. They shoot pretty good. They aren't Berger 115's, but very good for the cost.
