30BR tuner question

I have heard different opinions on whether a 30 br benefits from a tuner. But I do know that I am getting beat by shooters who's
rifle wears a tuner.
I am asking for real shooting experiences with or without.
Thanks
Jeff Fountain

Most of the shooter's that I shoot against use a tuner. I've seen your name in IBS SR score matches so u know as well as I do that most everyone who u shoot against are using one. I have probably 80 30BR barrels and 99 percent of them are threaded for a tuner. Honestly I wouldn't go to the line without one. The nice thing is when your barrel starts to get out of tune just a tiny adjustment will bring it right back. For the most part I usually don't have to adjust it because it's not a PPC which is so finicky. That's why most people I know go pre-loaded. You can't do that with a PPC and win. I probably also have about 35 tuners altogether, from about 12 different people who make them and I like some over others but they all do the same job. A tuner is not a magic cure all. When your throat starts to wear moving the tuner around will not cure that problem your still going to have to adjust the seating depth of your bullets. I suggest that you get one. They are relatively cheap money and I suggest u buy an Ezell tuner because IMO they are the best of the best. Here are 7 of my 29 Benchrest rifles all wearing Mike Ezell tuners. IMG_4952.JPG
