.30br or 6br from .308brass

Hello, I live in Chile, and seems to be that our local laws will be more hard to us.
.308 is in risk and I want to know if I change the barrel can I use 308 old brass to make 6mm br, 6br improved or 30br.

Thank You In advance

Toro,

Yes you can make all those versions from .308 brass, but it will be a supreme amount of work, involving multiple forming dies, and much trimming. Is there a reason you cannot buy 6BR brass to start with. That's the reasonable way to go.

If you can't shoot .308, but have lots of .308 brass, perhaps a 6.5-08,260 Rem) or 7-08 would be a better solution. That would require you do nothing but neck-down the size of brass. Of course you would have to change the barrel caliber.
