30br neck clearance

I had my brass turned for me, 1 time, never had a case neck separation on any of them. Maybe some dug too far into the shoulder? Mine did thicken a little, and I was told they would by a shooter or two on here that they would. Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Well I got my PMA model B neck turner. Ended up doing like 2 or 3 and loaded a barts in one and was getting .3290 under a barts. Checked the neck wall thickness with a ball mic and was getting about .0103 give or take. i asked for a .0095, I sent an email to them, and I'm really hoping they can sort me out. I may just ask for a refund and get a PMA model A and set my own thickness.

One other question. How do these look? One looked a tiny bit "wobbly," I guess you could say. I took my nail and ran over it and can't even really feel a difference so I think I'm okay on my depth and everything. Just need the proper neck thickness. Do these look okay?

If your chamber neck is .330 you will need to get more off of the brass in order to have clearance for release. Cut looks O K as far as depth into the shoulder area.

Yep, I was just very surprised the thickness was off by that much. It appears the model A is out of stock as well, so hopefully they can adjust it for me.

The cutter on the Model B is adjustable. It's not as easy as the 'A' but there's nothing to it. Just remember that you get double the change of how much you move the cutter.

I turn my necks to .0097. My bullet has about a .3085 base and the shank is .3081. My reamer does cut a .330 neck.
