30BR case prep?

I just got done converting 100,ggrrr, make that 94) Lapua 6mmBR cases into 30BR cases.

Steps so far: Necked up to 30 cal with a Redding 6mm to 30 cal step button, then over a 30 cal K&M Expand iron. Trimmed to 1.50", champhered the mouth. Then I cut the doughnut off with a K&M outside neck tool. Then set my neck cutter to give a 0.002" clearance with a seated bullet. Ran them through my bushing die to resize the necks. Washed and cleaned the cases, then ran through the Lyman Turbo tumbler. Ready to load and shoot at this point. The necks aren't 100% straight, but firing once them will fix that.

Fresh shipment of 1000 BIB 118gr 10 ogive bullets at my disposal.

The big question: Should I load the BIB bullets and attempt to do any load testing with the fresh cases, OR should I load them with inexpensive bullets to final fireform the cases?

Would I be able to gain any usefull info from shooting the BIB bullets while straightening the necks on these new cases, or is it a waste of 100 bullets?

There is another post on here with the 30 Wolf Pup concerning something similar to that. I would suspect that if you are chrush fitting the bullets > 0.015", you will have straight necks in relation to your bore. I would start the load development with 32 gr H4198 up to 34.8ish gr in whatever fashion you prescribe to, ie ladders, OCW or sheer luck, and start shooting bugholes.

A gunsmith experimented with runout on one of his rifles. He was having anywhere from 0.001 to 0.004" of runout. He claimed he chambered all of his ammo and remeasured his runout. The dial, according to him, registered no runout. Take it FWIW.

Gollum,
If you are going to load before going to the range seat your projectile .020 long in an empty case and chamber see how far it pushes back and set your seater at that, mine is .015 into the lands. When i first started neck turning i had my necks a little fat and was tearing jacket off the bullets and some wouldn`t quite chamber.
If your chamber neck is .330 the neck wall thickness on your cases should be .010 or even .0095 i now first cut the donut off then set the cutter to .0095and cut.
The Brass seems to squash a little and i end up with .010 wall thickness.
Also after the first incident when i turned some more i loaded and chambered each round so i new they would fit.,Fireing pin removed)
Work up loads while you are fire forming with the projectiles you will be using you will have good results but start at about 32gr and work up i am at 33gr others find they need more but just come up in .2gr steps
