30BR @ 1,000 Yards

Yep its official this past weekend i shot my 30BR at 1,000 yards and got all shots on paper and not to shabby at that will get the targets out and take photos tomorrow.
Some of you may remember a couple years ago i was told it wouldnt make it or i wouldn`t be able to keep it on paper etc well last year i missed out and got blown all over the shop but this year just picked my time and rattled then down fast trying to catch a favorable condition and if i hadnt had one shot on each target go high or low would have been pretty dam good.
Hey i am just happy to have got them on so now i have proved itcan be done i will retire the 30BR from 1000 yard .

Hi Corbin,
Was useing My normal custom projectiles CDC`s but instead of 115gr used 125gr Flat base and had them going at just over 3,000fps my come up on a 36X Bausch&Lomb scope was 38 to 40 inches the conditions where switching from side to side with some cloud periods. On each target you will see i had one shot go high but both targets scored 39. With the flier down with the rest the group would have been so much better i have ringed the flier.

Yes Lynn have shot 600 yards shoots around the 2.4" groups and no i cant shoot 155gr projectiles as it is chambered for these particular projectiles and cant fit enough powder with the 155s tho i have tried the new Sierras 135gr Match Kings and can get them doing 2930fps quite easily with 33 grs of powder and very accurate. Was experimenting with them But Tony Z tried them in his 30X47 and they work very well he actually changed barrels after the 500m shoot and shot his 30x47 at the 600 yards and did well beat me for group with a 2" group.
I will be building a 6BR with a 9 twist barrel and see if it will shoot the new Sierra 95gr projetiles. Also looking at doing a 30X47 barrel 17 twist to shoot the 135gr projectiles or even the 125gr ones i used the other day. Will attach 2 of the 600 yard targets one is a 2.4"group the other would have been nice but for the high flier a wind shift caused this but got one shot right on the X
