FWIW, I like the Richard's Microfit I bought, Benchmark style. Walnut, kinda medium grain. Fit was almost perfect (Howa action). Got out the tools and finished the fitting. Then cut some relief in it and bedded it with pillars. Opened up the barrel channel a lot. There is enough meat to the stock to shape to your liking. I narrowed my grip down a lot.

Yep, took about 20 hours to shape, bed and finish. Time well spent for me.
