I think they heard you lol
The velocity is possible, I'm getting 2920 fps with Berger 168 gr 22" bolt 308 9 twist and the 308 win 27" 12 twist does 2900 fps easily ... but mainly I shoot 200 gr SMK or 225 eldm and 208 eldm... is where it's at in the 308 Win for me,.. if I'm going way down range.

Some real world tests done by Shooting Illustrated [ Link to article ]
Their ES [called MD in the table above] and their SD didn't quite match their claims.
Accuracy was way off, but it was also a lot more with the Federal - I would have thought that would be under an MOA. But, if I've got it right, the rifles were all factory stock.
