308 seating depth question for 150 gr CX

Had some Hornady 150 gr CX bullets laying around, so I thought I'd do a little playing around for the 308. I'm using N150 powder.

Since I have zero experience with the CX bullets, does anyone know what kinda seating depth these things prefer? And I'm not trying to start a whole "Chasing the Lands" argument. Just a general question for anyone who has experience with these bullets.

I tested these back when they were called GMX along with several other "copper" bullets. IME they arent sensitive to seating depth in my rifles. My rifle preferred .030" off lands.
Unless they changed it in the CX, the GMX is not a copper bullet, it is a gilding metal and is more hard than a copper bullet. My first hunting trip with it in my 280AI for whitetails it failed to expand on a 70 yd doe. The exit hole was the same size as the entrance. A second shot did expand and the doe went down. Threw them out when I got home. I much prefer the pure copper bullet. Never an issue with Barnes or Hammers in dozens of deer. Just my experience. My 308 did well with N-135 and N-140 with 150 gr bullets

Well these may end up in the "For emergency use only" stack if that's the case. I've tried some Berger Classic Hunters in this gun, but it didn't seem to like em. I loaded these up last night, and think I ended up going with 0.010" off the lands. I've found the ELD's so pretty good either close to the lands or jammed. So I sorta split the difference. Might shoot like crap. I'll find out one day next week.

I've used CX, GMXs & Nosler ETips in my .375/.284 XP-100 handgun & 6.5/.284 XP. Their munufacturer JD Jones of SSK always told me to seat solid "brass" bullets 0.05" off the lands due to the increased pressure caused by the bullet material. I've done this for many years. They all shoot exceptionally well in my handguns. I recovered several GMXs that were perfectly expanded in length wise shots.
