308 reload

has anybody ever loaded the 308 eith H380 powder, and if you did any suggestion on starting load or how well it performed. i posted the same question a minute ago in the wrong place sorry first post an all.

No one can give a starting load for you as you failed to give a bullet weight and brand of bullet. Give all the info you can on rifle also. Being honest though, the information you are looking for is in your loading manual,assuming you have one, if not,that should be your next purchase. You should always consult your manual instead of taking someones word on any load. ..... SEMPER FI!.

Scroll down to the Sierra.308 Load Map box and click then open or save. H380 is used all the way up to the 180's. The burn rate is a good fit and being a ball powder it meters well and you can get a lot in the case! ;)
 
I have a shooting buddy that shoots h380 with nosler 168 cc
It does great in his rifle . This is not were you should start he shoots 46.5gr
I would look at Sierra loading manul for start load or go to hodgdon data page .
They have it there.
