What I know: Older Savage .270 Win. bolt gun, model ??. .308 brass pictured below. I should have the rifle by next week sometime to assess.
What I don't know: Condition of rifle, barrel or action. If bullet is still in barrel. Extent of injuries, if any.
Yup. Just like the reloading bench.when the gun leaves the bench, the ammo for it goes with it!
Ohhh! What a shame! Such a beautiful rifle. This is what happens when you put a .300 Savage in a .270. Belgian Browning inherited from his Grandfather. Note the missing round from one box….
If you blow the picture up. you'll notice the that the bolt is still closed but the bolt handle blew off and was on the ground. Split the stock from the front to the trigger guard. Luckily no one was hurt.Remington 700 muzzle loader. Full charge of BH209 but the bullet was only seated about 6 inches from the muzzle. Not me but I was there.
That's not exactly accurate..... I did the first aid on the guy and his face and arms were cut up pretty good. No stitches required but he spread around quite a bit of liquid DNA. Lucky he was wearing glasses......If you blow the picture up. you'll notice the that the bolt is still closed but the bolt handle blew off and was on the ground.
