Is H4350 as temp stable as Varget with 215g hybrids for 308, also would H4350 yield higher VL at lower pressures than Varget.

Yes, and maybe. You need a freebore of .250 or more to fit enough 4350 in there without extreme compression.

A 9" twist will produce best results. They will stabilize in a 10" twist but are marginal.

Stock, MPOD - testing 230's. All good and no issues with tracking nor recoil.

BUT the consistency with a 10 twist is iffy. As SB suggested, a faster twist is likely required.

Might even get an 8 twist for S&G's... more better right?

I remember an article about extreme long range shooting using 308 with the discontinued Sierra 250 HPBT and they did use 1 in 8".I think the 230 Hybrid should be very close in lenght to the Sierra bullet.
