I just finished building a 300wsm on a 700 Long action so my customer can run the long heavy Berger’s. I have built two on the Dakota long action previously and never had an issue. The BDL magazine spring is very strong and is causing the round to pop up rendering it impossible to feed. When I drop the floor plate to mimic a weaker spring it feeds 3 rounds just fine. I’m looking for advice on weakening that spring so that this issue is fixed, thank you.

In the past I have changed to a spring from a 223 class . Same follower but lighter spring. Just my two cents Tommy Mc
