300wsm in a light profile barrel

I have a stiller action with a short mag bf. Wanting to do a lightweight 300wsm and was wondering could I use a shilen #1 featherweight contour
Reason I ask is it’s fairly similar to the Remington mountain rifle contour which was never offered in 300 wsm but is also close to the Winchester 70 featherweight profile which was.

Trying to get it as light as possible

I have a fairly lightweight 300wsm I bought for hunting. Built by rifle Inc back in the day if memory serves me correctly. Originally had a Swarovski 3-9 and I wasn't running the recoil pad and was right at 6#. Now almost 7# with the pad and leupold. I think this was a #1 contour, again, if memory serves me well. 20231213_203415.jpg20231213_203424.jpg

Honestly not sure. I'll pull the recoil pad off tomorrow and see if the factory pad indicates. It has gotten gummy over the years and the slip on pad was more to hide that but the extra gel helps if you know what I mean lol.

Didn't Winchester have a problem with the WSM's and had to increase the diameter of the breech? If my recall is decent the original breech size would expand too much (stretching the brass too much) and the problem went away when the breech was increased.
