300prc light weight load info

I’m wanting to put together a hunting rifle in 300 prc for next year but thinking I want to use 150-170g bullets. Anyone have any insight or info as far as velocity expectations. Really thinking a hammer bullet or Barnes but open to any other suggestions shots will be 600 yards and in thanks in advance

What are you hunting ???

If it's deer, I recommend the 130 TTSX

Elk or moose ? 150 or 165 TTSX.

For the 130 ttsx for deer I recommend Vihtavuori N-560 or Norma MRP... You'll easily get 3,600 fps and a great Point blank range.

150 TTSX ? same 2 powders will get you 3,400 fps

165 ttsx ? Same 2 powders and RL-23 will be able to reach 3,300 fps.

All those loads have a long jump to the lands with room to spare pressure wise.

Edit: forgot to add the 175 Barnes LRX... 3,200 fps is acceptable with the proper powders.

When you decide on bullet I'll give you specific load data for that bullet.

Just remember... Barnes TTSX need a long jump, and max velocity to be most accurate.

Wow! crazy speeds. A 175 lrx going 3200 fps has got my attention. The 130 ttsx at 3400 has got me thinking also.
