300m rifle

I plan to chop my Krieger barrel down to 24". Underlying rationale:
based on Lilja barrel rigidity calculator I assume the barrel will be much stiffer and it will be easier to tune in terms of harmonics, optimal barrel time and similar theories.

The rifle will be used exclusively to shoot 100m, 200m and 300m competitions. I plan also to redesign the chamber below the SAAMI specs. It's a straight profile 1.1". 6.5 needmoor.
What do you think?

Shooting prone / iron sights or scoped? If irons, I would definitely get a bloop tube / sight extension for extending the sight radius.

Yes, I agree. Lapua tried to take the 6br off the 300m throne with their 6.5x47 but could not
