It's about barrel length and whether or not the stock is fixed. Under 16" of barrel length it's pretty much a pistol although there is a SBR classification (short barreled rifle) What looks like a stock on his rifle is a piece that just slides over the buffer tube. It's not attached. They call them braces. A pistol AR can be purchased like a pistol BUT a SBR needs the $200 tax stamp. Only real difference is whether the stock is attached or not.Good video mate.
Some of those groups were pretty tight for an AR shooting subs.
I don't live in the USA so I'm wondering why you keep calling a rifle a pistol. Is it for legal reasons ???
It sounds weird when you refer to a rifle as a pistol. As long as it's legal to own, you should be able to call it what it is and not have to worry about it.

Thanks for the info, going to try it outExcellent results for a 300 BLK shooting subs... Alot of the slower-burning powders that will cycle an AR action are kind of loud, and dirty.
If you want to try something really fun, try shooting either a 110 HP or Vmax over about 3.9 grains of Red Dot, or a 168 BTHP over 5.2 grains of Red Dot. These loads, especially the 110 grain loads, are EXTREMELY QUIET. They are literally quieter than a pellet or BB gun. All you will hear is the a click from the firing pin, followed by bullet impact.
Now they don't cycle an AR, but accuracy is surprisingly good since Red Dot burns fast and relatively clean at moderate pressures.
The Lehigh's are a decent hunting bullet for a subsonic, but if the above Red Dot loads also work very well with the Hornady 110 short jacket or 90 XTP, both of which provide excellent expansion at subsonic velocities and will easily kill game in the rabbit/groundhog category at reasonable distances.
