your experience is correct i am sure for your employer, i am aware of other manufactures, of high quality reputation who do differently
i have shot their bullets, both hunting,pd and handgun sil, they are good but when put to the test they were not the same as "boxed'
I have purchased thousands by the pound, and used them as above, the polishing process is a simple one to correct if not as desired in the final stage, as it is accomplished in corn/pecan tumbling mixture, so is seldom the reason for setting the product aside as blemished.
They are generally set aside before they ever get to the polish state, seperating the rejects, from good but not absolute spec.
