300 win mag LAPUA???

I just bought some Winchester brass in 300 win mag and wasn't impressed on first appearance! Square necks and dented brass on a good majority..I hope the brass it's self is good

Ray,,yes ,,,they look like the jolly green giant kicked the bag-0-brass all the way from the valley to your house...square and dented necks,etc,,,,but they wear good and take lots of abuse from pressure and sizing,,,,the metal in em is good,,,,Roger

The Norma brass was all dented and banged up also. Had 3.5 grain spread between the 100 cases which is about the same as Winchester. They do have a larger internal capacity than Winchester and weigh about the same.

I will say I was impressed with how uniformed the primer pockets and flash holes were on the Winchester brass!

Been using Winchester 284 brass and its done quite well, I think, but if Lapua makes a straight 284 I will switch over. I have plenty of 6.5x284 Lapua but I dont like messing with necking up, etc. Kevin, when Lapua makes it, let me know as I would like to put in a nice sized order.

Ray,,,glad your checkin em,,,Im very pleased with what they are produceing at this time,,,If WW would make 6mmBR brass I would use it ,,,I wish they would wake up and capture that part of the shooting/loading market,,,I have talked to them and they seem to be more interted in this than the foreign mfgs are in making the WSM and belted ctgs,,,Roger

I had thoughts about Norma because first there available and they claim the mag brasses flash holes and primer pockets are cut not stamped and also there annealed!
