No Rem06 it’s just a big slow 30 that you convinced me to build - not a fast 20 or 25! But Maybe this big and slow is starting to grow on me ....

Nice rig! I built a 300 win mag this year using the reamer by Rhian Mantha for 215 hybrids. The reamer is perfect for 215 Berger Hybrids. My barrel is the same 28" plus the brake. Winchester brass worked the best with 77.5grs H1000 with speeds around 3040 fps. It flat out hammers, and a pleasure to shoot.

So far this week Two doe, one at 205 yards and one at 210 yards and a buck taken at 65 yards. These 215 hybrids hammer! Missed a coyote. 17 rounds fired. This project is a completed success!

Gun weighs in at 11.75 lbs and that bix and Andy tacsport trigger is nice! The safety lock takes a bit getting used to,
I have found that I fumble with it a bit because I forget to push it out off lock prior to pushing it forward.
I grew up on a 700 trigger so I am just so used to that. I may remove the lock tab so it’s a forward only motion haven’t decided yet.

I should have mentioned that Rem06 and I have been friends for over 12 years and have never got to Harvest deer while sitting together. We had the luxury of setting up he with his 300 NM with 230 hybrids and my new 300 win with 215 hybrids. We were able to do a double, rem06 shot first and I touched mine off as soon as he shot and secured the first 300 win mag kill. Sure glad I got to make a memorable first kill with my 300 with him, he was the one who convinced me to do the build.

I am running H1000 powder. My OAL is roughly 3.740. I am using a reamer set up for the 215 hybrid. I am unsure of the speed but it’s over 3000 for sure with the 28 inch barrel. fed GM215M and Norma brass.

Is the reamer yours or one that Lee has?
