300 saum and the like

I have been wanting a 300 SAUM for hunting and plinking for a long time. I'm thinking id like somthing with a 20-22" pipe. Shooting 150-168gr bullets. Not seeing a ton of info on here for that kind of combo. Is 3,000fps possible with that barrel length and bullet weight?
one the of reasons for this build is for hunting whitetail for now, but I am going to start trying to pull a non resident moose tag for Maine. from my reading it can take 2-5 years...or never.

Just looking for a screamer of a round and I like the SAUM. but, ive also had shoulder surgery 4 times, so im not looking to blow my shoulder off with somthing really large.

I run a Remington Model 7 .300 saum as my hunting rifle. Deer, elk ,moose. Living in California I only load copper mono which is Hornady GMX 150 grn. I'm running them at 3150 F.P.S. As far as recoil goes I put a LImbsaver pad on and it does a nice job of absorbing the kick. I'm to lazy to go open my safe but I think it's a 20" pipe.
