300 Norma takes 3 more deer

This is the kind of weather where the 300 NM really shines as the high Bc bullets used simply resist winddrift very well.

Also the 9th year I've had the hobby of filming my hunts, so putting a little more effort into it this year (I actually sat down and read/learnt something)

All but the dram and I'm there. It's more like a race to get into bed sleeping fast enough to recover for next day.

Educational. Also fun to watch. That wind and rain is nasty, same with the short jacket-wet crotch idea. Creative.

That river looks like a creek (crick?) to me if you can jump it. You sure do jump on the shots and take what you can quickly. Appreciate you sharing the experience.

Thanks. Yes, I think creek or stream would be more accurate than river. I think to have a certain situational awareness and not hesitate makes success relatively easy. In hunting, you know what you have right now but ten seconds ahead the picture can be completely different. I repeat a very simple "setup and shot" routine every time I am at the range (it literary takes me less than a minute) and there's a huge payoff for that when hunting season comes.

Yes. Same way you register a car, it's a painfree process and proof of ownership.

Not tossing stones here at all, cause clearly you got a really great program going there. Just a comment though...It always rings loudly in my ears when good folks outside the US (i have good friends from SA and Zim, EU countries) talk of the subordinating processes they must comply with to own a firearm. None of my buddies understand the visceral gut wrench i feel when they talk of this process. I just think the majority of Americans (sans eastern states and CA) just still have that liberty/responsibility/GTH attitude about government that other countries don't foster. That is why I am so grieved when we allow erosion of freedom here, subordinating ourselves to an elected government that "knows better". Not trying to make a political post of your hunts, just noting that not everyone enjoys the liberties we do.

I admire your videos, your clear mastery of both the firearm, the hunt and the rifle. Your sportsmanship is excellent. I extend my hand to you as you carry out your freedoms under the eye of government. And I say it again, that last shot was awesome!
