300 Norma long neck wildcat

i cant recall the cartridge. There was a gentleman that made a maybe shortened 300 Norma with a long neck intended for br efficiency. Does anyone recall the cartridge?

Its almost Halloween....I'll dig up an old skeleton thread.

Anybody try a 300 norma "SLR"? Improve the shoulder, cut a little capacity, no fireforming....

My 300Norma shoots great, but it would be nice to cut some powder out of it.

Yes, for a customer about a year ago. Dies, forming and neck turning. 1.6xx body length with a,37 degree shoulder.

From memory someone did a .300 skardi? That was a 300 norma with longer neck and steeper shoulder. Looked awesome but I haven't seen anything on the skardi since.

That 300 skadi is nearly spot on what I was looking for. I didnt find any updates/range reports on it. Thanks for finding that.

Alan, if you get any range reports I bet plenty of folks would like to hear it.

I'll get an update in a,day or two. Only asked after initial range session. He seemed pleased.
I think he is keeping it propriety even though I designed the final chamber

specs, made all the required forming and sizing dies, and did all the forming and turning.

So, I talked to the guy we did the dies, brass and reamer for. Lou Smith @The Avid Shooter said sure, let folks know . He has a You tube and web site.
First firing- about 87g water, 80 or so g of retumbo w/250g projos--- 2900-2925 inside .4 moa
