300 black out

No factory bbl. that I recall. I'd be interested to see the velocity increase though. Would the light charge make the gain minimal?

I thought the Blackout was made sub sonic to work well with a suppressor. Why make it longer to attain more velocity?

I don't know if the "Blackout" was designed for just sub-sonic shooting or not but we hunt hogs with them . We are shooting super-sonic loads with 110's & 125 gn bullets. They have a better knock down than 55 gn .223 and with suppressors we can communicate with out hearing protection. We do use 16" barrels but that is all we need and they carry better.

Most of the chucks that I have shot this year were with supersonic 110s in 300 BLK (suppressed). For my personal use, I'd rather have the 16" to off-set the length of the suppressor than shoot with a longer barrel to squeeze a small amount of velocity. If I was overly concerned about velocity above 2,350 with a 110/125 and was dead set on a 30 cal., I'd scrap the Blackout and select something with more case capacity.

I agree 100%. They are great hogkillers with 220grain bullets.
