I've been leaning towards building a 300 WSM setup for the 230 hybrids. Most of the outstanding groups that I've seen posted are with the 210 vids. I have a 1:9.5 twist barrel on hand. Is that too fast for the 210's? 1000 yards targets. WHAT BULLET WOULD YOU USE FOR THE 300WSM, knowing what you do now?

Bob, I don't believe that would be too fast of a twist. More than needed, maybe. I run the 210 VLDHs in my 300 Ultra Mag. That has a 10-twist and I'm launching them with a pretty full case of Retumbo. I did my load development at 600 and they shoot great. I'll admit, it's a safe queen waiting for an elk hunting trip. But, I have it!!

Bob,
You should have no issues with your 1-9.5 twist rate barrel at all. A little extra spin rate stability through the trans and subsonic stages of flight would be a plus.
