I bought 3 Montana rifleman barrels when they changed from making barrels for individuals to making barrels for rifle companies. Gary chambered the 30 caliber in 30-06 and screwed it to a Turk Mauser action. It is the gun that lives in my truck, when i was working on the ranch it was my last ditch protection from being eaten by hogs. I tried the lighter bullets as my shooting buddies at the time were going to light 30 calibers for the less than 250 yd shots we encounter here in the swamps. I tried the Sierra and could not get it to shoot as good as the 125 Nos BTs. I am going to buy a box of the Speers and try them in this same gun and see if the shoot as well as I hope they will. The 06 is a fast twist but I am wanting to try a 30 BR in the near future.

Some guys say the Noslers are better hunting bullets.
