Some guys say the Noslers are better hunting bullets.I bought 3 Montana rifleman barrels when they changed from making barrels for individuals to making barrels for rifle companies. Gary chambered the 30 caliber in 30-06 and screwed it to a Turk Mauser action. It is the gun that lives in my truck, when i was working on the ranch it was my last ditch protection from being eaten by hogs. I tried the lighter bullets as my shooting buddies at the time were going to light 30 calibers for the less than 250 yd shots we encounter here in the swamps. I tried the Sierra and could not get it to shoot as good as the 125 Nos BTs. I am going to buy a box of the Speers and try them in this same gun and see if the shoot as well as I hope they will. The 06 is a fast twist but I am wanting to try a 30 BR in the near future.

It depends on the length of the bullet not its weight. Try sourcing that info from the maker. If you are talking about the 125 TNT bullet a 17 twist will work just fine I couldn't find a 130 medium game bullet by speer but if the bullet length is 1" a 17 will work fine. If you have some freebore and this is a hunting rifle I would go with a 14 or 15" twist to give yourself a lot more bullet selection that will work for you. imho. Will a 17 twist stabilize the 130 grain Speer? As I understand it Speer has made a pointed version of the 130 flat nose Ive been using in my 30/30 for many years. I find the Speers to be accurate and inexpensive, and hope the Wilson (developed for the 300HMR Oso mentioned earlier) pointed version shoots as well as the older versions do.
