30 BR SPEED

I have two 3 twists
34.0 is as far as I go
This is 5 shot
Never a sign of pressure, but nothing more produced anything better. Both rifles. Similar results

Lol 3 groove barrel not a 3 twist. Probably a 17 or 18 twist barrel
Ok. But my question is how many shots per target? Yes I expect 17-18 twist for a 30BR
The load is more than I care to go mainly what I have is the very best I can do. Either rifle. One 21” the other 27”
Same load for either.

The powder is 1/2 way up the neck. If it's not its close. I didn't really pay to much attention. I have shot another at 34.5 and it shot great, no signs of pressure with CCi 400s. I was shooting 35.0 using a drop tube [not with 34.5] but that didn't seem to be consistent. I won't be loading again for a few days I can check.

Changing seating depth and charge weight is hard to analyze. I see more vertical in some of the groups than I would be happy with.

Also, a well tuned load will shoot consistently small. When I say small, I mean 5 shot groups agging under .2. I say you have some more work to do.

Thanks
Don’t know that I will experiment much more as the target I posted is one of quite a few I’ve shot ( wish it was more of course) but I feel as I said that’s probably the best I am capable of. Those 30BR’s actually made everything else I have not that interesting.
However all I have ever done is 100 yard bench rest. Mainly because every place I’ve lived 100 yard ranges were always close by.
And I enjoy it.
Thanks again

Forgot to add, once you reach a certain speed, increasing it does not matter as much as what you see in the target. For me, that “certain speed” is around 3000fps for the 30br. This is based on what I see the guys that have mastered the 30br doing. YMMV.
