30-06

Found the IMR 4064 has worked the best for my 30-06 loads. Tried Varget and H4895 but 4064 just seemed to work better for my hunting rifle and Garand. It does not meter that well but worth the extra effort.

I wanted to say ty to everyone! I tried 58 grains of h 4350. First tried at canular depth then tried 338dude’s load and depth. All I can say is 338 you have a good shooting load!! At 200yards all three touched! For a bone stock rifle this thing impressed me !!! Thanks again for the help everyone!!

The one I’m shooting it from is a 30 year old Winchester model 70 from Walmart, Actually my first centerfire rifle

Did someone mention IMR 4064? I fired this approx. 2.50 inch 3 shot group this morning at 385 meters / 427 yds. The rifle is an early 90's push feed all stock Win. 70 stainless in .30-06. Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10X on 10X. I use a stout charge to send down old stock Hornady 190 gr. Interlock BT's. Exact barrel round count is 4420. The 18"dia. 2.00 inch thick slug is mild steel.

50 to 52 gr IMR 4064 has worked well for me. I like the flat base Hornady spire point. If you have the typical looong Remington throat, a light crimp into the cannelure with a Lee factory crimp die can help consistency
52g imr 4064 with 150g Sierra and Hornady had been a go to load in my family for a LONG time.

59g of IMR 4350 with the 150g Sierra and hornady is a tad faster and Rem's love it.
