It’s probably hard to beat H4350 by too much for an all around hunting load. It’s one of the more temperature insensitive powders and the right burning rate for the 165 grain bullets. 58.0 grains works good in my rifle with 165 & 168 weights.

I have used 51 of Varget but it didn't work nearly as well as 57 of 4350. IMR 4451 is also excellent. WH

I have some Hornady 165 Interlock SP and some 165 Nolser Solid Base SP.
Looking to load these in a 30-06 factory Savage 22“ Sporter Barre.

Looking for any pet loads out there.

I have H and IMR 4895, Varget, IMR 4831,N160 and N165

line ones and work up a load, with the powders you have, and see what YOUR RIFLE likes the best, with that 165 grain bullet/s you have.

So I loaded some 165 Hornady SP and some old 165 Nolser solid base SPs today using IMR 4350
Started at 55 and went to 57.5 in .5 jumps. 5 ea.
We will see what falls out.

OALs we’re about .050 over std and still well off the lands.
