30-06 point of impact

I shot both 150 and 180 during barrel break in. POI was the same at 100 yards I doubt it varies much out to 300 . Typical is to zero a inch or 2 high at 100 should be flat at 200 and 1 or 2 low at 300. This is just rule of thumb .

I don't think you can predict it without actual firing in your rifle. You need to zero with the load you intend to use anyway.

On average if you zero a 30-06 2 inches high at 100 yards with 150's then at 300 you are going to be 6 to 7 inches low and with 180s 7 or 8 inches low.

Sight in 3 inches high at 100 and you will be about 3 1/2" high at 200 and 3 to 4" low at 300 yards.

165's do shoot a little flatter than 150s or 180s between 300 and 600 yards most of the time.

The only way to know for sure where your rifle is shooting is to go shoot it at the distances.

in this 30-06 i am shooting 165 grain bullets. the scope is near its max elevation adjustment. i want to be nearer the optical center of the scope. i will have a gunsmith shim the mounts. thanks . roninflag
