30-06 165gr Hunting Loads

4350 and 165 gr hunting bullets go together like kittens and milk. 165 Speer BTSP and AA4350 shoot best in my model 70. Hodgdon, IMR and AA4350"s should all do well with your 165's. Find the combo your rifle likes and your golden.

THIS ^^^ or, either a Sierra GK or, Hornady 165 Interlock BTSP would also, "Work" fine,..
whichever is, most Accurate in,.. YOUR Rifle.
My son punched, a 165 gr. Partition, ( IMR 4350, 57.5 gr. Load ) completely thru, a 400+ pound, Cinnamon Bear at, 110 Yards, while I watched the Hit, thru the Bino's. The bullet Angled thru Lungs and off side, Foreleg, he ran / Hobbled, a Few yards, moaned Loudly and Died,..quickly !
The Best, "all around", Balanced Load for, the ole' 06 that, we've found ( 4350 and 165's )

Ditto on that, 57grs of AA4350 and a Hornady 165gr BTSP out of a factory Rem 700 ADL 30/06 w/22" barrel, 2800+ fps and sub moa, great combo.

Thanks for all the replies. Quite a few good choices. I have introduced him to the concept "let the target tell you what your gun likes". Probably going to start with I4350 and go from there. I am enjoying spending his money for him. Mike

I am working with IMR 4350 and 150-180s in several types. Success has been limited.

May try the 4064, n160 maybe some others

57.4 grs. of IMR4350 and either 165 gr. Accubonds or 165 gr. Partitions shoot great out of two different
30-06 rifles I have used. Remington 700 and Ruger 1B
