3" Wide Stock to 4" Conversion ???

I have a 3" MBR that I was thinking I would like to make 4" wide. Is there anyone out there making lightweight ( 3D printed ? ) rails that can be attached to a 3" stock to make it 4"? I have another really nice gun with a 4" stock and my rest does not have an adjustable width top.......Just looking into all my options.......Thanks

Regards
Rick

How long does it have to be and how do you want to attach it ??
Any machining capabilities on your end ?? I can come up with
something no problem, if your not in a rush. Might cost you a beer !!
The mill is open currently and I have aluminum plate in stock......

Thanks, Fuj
I was thinking about a permanent adhesive, yet to be determined. 2 pieces, like angle iron shaped runners that would take me out to 4" total width. Does not have to mount flush with the bottom of the stock. Aluminum would work fine and help keep the weight down. The gun right now is 16.1 and I would like to keep her under 17lbs.............Thank You

Regards
Rick

I have a 3" rider from Freeland that quickly mounts/removes onto the front rail. You could easily apply this principle.
I just finished a 4" for a rail on my grandsons AT-One stock. Have
done quite a few over the years. This however being a McMillan
BR stock would look cheesy at best with a rail and add to some
unwanted height. I do think Rick wants to glue it on.....

Yes it's not pretty, but functional. I'll check with you when I need another.

I’m out of the retail business, but I just ran a small lot of these for a gunsmith/ member here. I think he’s keeping some and selling some. Keep an eye on the classifieds. Not trying to be elusive, just in my business, confidentiality and trust are paramount. I always lean towards saying less, even if perhaps it isn’t necessary.

Here's pics of one I made on the mill out of 4" wide x 3/4" thick aluminum flat bar for a manners stock with an Arca rail for fully adjustable fulcrum balance point on the rest. I later cut in side grooves (last picture) for better tracking and less muzzle rise because it was in a 300 Norma Improved rifle. Could be made to bolt directly onto the stock if need be. Worked really good and stronger than a brick sh*t house. Lol

Thinking out of the box; You can do a 4" version on the butt
of the stock ?? I've been testing it at the Anderson Creek score
match's the past thtee months. I'm satisfied enough with it that
I'll continue to test with it. I'll get a pic of it later on.....Or maybe
not......LOL I did finish the 4" plate for the grandsons rimfire.
Just something simple for a pic rail and run it on a modified
Shade Tree top. I had to mill a flat into the fore end to correct
the angle and be parallel with the bore. Slot cut into the front
is for the stop peg, on the new designed top. Again, just simple.
I may powder coat it down the road.
