3 shots = 3 down.

Hit a local ranch for white tail Doe this morning.
Was already in the pastures at daybreak walking field to field slowly glassing for the deer along the main creek line.
This ranch has them all over the place like fleas, but this year they've been kinda elusive to find.
In my last 3 months scouting (while on coyote or P-dogs) Ive seen maybe 25 total when I have counted 100s before.
Well after about an hour of stalking the breeze I finally see 7 hop a fence to an open pasture area so I head towards them staying low. I see them in the wide open, they see my head and I back down and get into a draw that leads to the drainage they are feeding in knowing they will come back my way to the trees and shrub lined creek.
I pop up on a small rise below them and then 3 fly by me and dont stop to say HI. Darn it, but I know the rest have to be close by and as I come around a steep sided rise I see the back heads of 3 more so I get down and crawl 60 feet or so, put the glass on them and see they are looking across the drainage ignoring me which only means there is something that is holding their attention.
I glass the direction they are looking and yup a big coyote is looking at them/me and Im prone trying to pick it out of the tall grasses so it had to of seen me crawling but not sure what I was. Heck I say Im going to shoot it then the deer since Im suppressed they wont have a real idea where I am.
The coyote drops out of sight then it pops up at 134 yards, thwapp I drop it, the Does trot past me and I swing on the big female as she stops maybe 80 yards from me and thwaap-thunk I drop it, then another doe pops out of the creek line it had to cross and about 125 yards I drop it. 3 shots under 10 seconds and my tags are filled with a topping of coyote.
So 2 Antelope & 2 deer this season.
Who can complain about a hunt/shoot like that
Savage 6x6.8, 90g sierra TGK at 3037 fps, suppressed

Every hunt I am on turns into a coyote hunt whenever one presents itself. Glad I am not alone. pretty nice dog it looks like, oh yes and nice work on the deer also. Thanks for sharing
