3 dog night

Hit up NE with the NV & our FLIR ps32 & LS64 theremals w/apal
One set we had going w/lightining jack and had a coyote come full bore @ 9 min. right in front of me & I never saw it, hit the NV IR and all I saw was tall grasses like relflecting light in a mirror, let it go and saw a form at maybe 80ys between the tall grass and proceeded to miss it....to high!
Well later on I was messing my pals NV scope and saw I could actually focus the retical from the focal end which I wish I had known earlier and bam I could see everything perfectly instead of on the blurry side.
This was my 1st time using his AR set up w/A NV scope & suppressed.
We both have thermals for scanning.
At another ranch in NE we hit up scanning w/thermals and could hear at least 3 groups of dogs going off so we decided to move to a area that has 5 rows of trees for a wind/snow break and set up in front of them looking to a wide open area thats full of corrals.
There were horses on one side.
So he hits the shockwave call & I saw a coyote bust the tree line 100 yds to our right and hit a depression and split the scene, all I could see was its back in the low area and not coming up to see what was gong on.
So now I see a dot by the horses about 200yds out & my pal said they wont come by them as horses will chase and stomp them, well there is one right there by the horses. As I am looking and seeing a coyote walk around them he says shoot the one right in front of you...again I never saw that one pop up out of a low spot as I was looking to my side at another one. Now I have 2 in front of me as I move the gun right/left to get them lined up.
My pal is saying 12 oclock right there shoot it shoot it....haahhaha.
I finally see the big one he sees on this side of the fence looking at the other one about 60 yards on the other side, its a perfect side shot and I drop it on the spot.
I swing fast as I see the other running so I bark & it stops and I shoot...pffffft, see it spin 4x and thats it.
We walk out after a few min to insure no others pop up.
1st one is a HUGE male at a tad over 40lbs & perfect fur, it was 175 setps from our sitting spot. His Cur Bullet finds it as Im scanning w/thermal to see it.
We hop the fenceline for the other, takes us about 5 min to located it w/thermal & bullet finally getting to it. That was 327 steps from the fenceline and added to the 175 steps at least 300 yards out. A fast double for me & Im happy as anyone.
We move 1/2 mile to another spot and calling for 15 minn or so a coyote pops up in the low area and finally gets withing 125yds and my pal shoots that one. 3 all on the same ranch and all within an hour.
Great end of a long night.
The female was mangey as heck & hardly no tail and about 1/3 size of the male.
You see my custom night camo I have on....it was chilly.

Nice story and well appreciated. What kind of dog is that?
I just call it a Mtn. Cur, I do not know who he got it from or what mix it is, great dog though.
