3 pos. safety shroud on Rem. type action?

I'm thinking of doing another build and wondered if there are any pros or cons on a 3 pos. shroud? The gun in question would be a Defiance receiver with target tang and a PT&G bolt. Would be a long range live varmint gun. I'm curious about this because I don't think I have seen or heard of anyone going with a setup like this for this type of gun. Thanks, John.

This is one that I put on my Grandson's 600. I also have one on my Pierce receiver. They work great as they lock the firing pin.

How are they fitted, is there any great issue in doing so. I often taught about these myself.

These do work great. They need a notch in the cocking piece to allow the safety to work correctly. I have done a few and PTG has them. They also have a cocking piece that will go with them.

So all I need to do do is buy the 3 position safety and the cocking piece from PTG and thats it, just fit them and Im ready to go.
