284 win vs 30 gibbs for 1k

Just wondering if anyone has any experience using the 284 win out to 1k. I am also looking at the 30 gibbs also. My goal is to get the most barrel life as possible, and wil be using a krieger barrel. I am doing this on a savage with a .473 bolt head, and am not intersted in swapping out bolt heads. Any input would be appreciated.

i may be incorrect in this, however i have the opinion the 284 brass will last longer, consider the fireforming of 30 gibbs on bbl life,

the 284 is somewhat more over bore compared to the gibbs case thus should be harder on the bbl.

The heavier bullets higher bc of the gibbs are and advantage.

I would think the 30 Gibbs would be one of the very least desireable 30-06 cases, almost no improvement over an Ackley. A nightmare to find dies, etc. for. In short an expensive option for almost nothing.

I would have to agree with that.
.284 wins in a land slide in this matchup for me.
