Thanks - I did shoot RL25 and N165 with the 184 Berger yesterday. Started at 55gn each to see what the difference would be. Both powders showed some promise there. At 200 meters - had 1 inch 5 shot groups. RL25 was at 2790fps and N165 at 2840.....
I do have more room to go up - so will see....
Thanks JR
How’d it hold up? N160I have shot the 184 hybrids over RL-23 at 2820, new cases, straight 284 Norma and it shoots clean at 600 with calm conditions. I am currently shooting the same with N160 (52.3gr) at 2800fps/30" tube with a little better precision and less throat wear. N160 should shoot great in the Shehane. I'll have better feedback in 4 days as I will be shooting this load in the Fall open LR Nationals starting tomorrow.

I had trouble keeping the waterline on all days except one. I had to resort with twisting the tuner to compensate. In all fairness I was having the same problem with H4350. The issues are unrelated to powder choice and, after discussion with other .284 shooter, I think I understand why this gun has been so finicky on the tune. I'll report back after a little more testing. How’d it hold up? N160
+1Reloader 23 is hard to beat. Temperature stable also.

I was shooting 56.0 - 56.5 gr RL 23 with 180 gr bullets and CCI BR 2. I have since found my absolute new favorite load of 53.0 gr RL 16 180 gr sorted ELDM and Fed 210 M. 2930 FPS and single digit ES. Shot 3 shot groups in the dark with PVS 27 MUNS Night Vision with scope set on 12X measuring 2.3”, 3.25”, and 4.2” @ 1000 yards. And a 4.8” 3 shot group at night using same night vision @ 1146 yards. Shooting better than anything I have tried. (H4831 SC, RL 17, H 4350, RL 23). 1:9 twist Bartlein 5R @ 30”.
