28 NOSLER THOUGHTS

@ std7mag,..
You guys, need to listen to, some of, GunWerks,.. LATEST, Podcasts !
The 7 LRM Cartridge, will BE,. Obsolete, in a couple of, Years !
Everything being "converted" to, the 7 PRC from, the 7 LRM and they WON'T, bother to, MAKE IT, in another, Year !
Stock up,.. IF you have One
Since these, Newer "Barrel burners" only last about,.. 700 to 1,100 Shots it's,.. NO, "Big Deal" to them.
Barrels are, "Peanuts" to these,.. Millionaires, anyway
I dont think many on here consider gunwerks to be the authority on cartridges thst you do. They will push the latest craze to sell another $6000 remington copy to guys that watch what they do.

I DIDN'T say that, THEY were, the "Leading Authority" I just said that, they ARE, "Converting over" to, the 7 PRC and they Sell, Long Range Rifle, "Packages" to Guys that, either, DON'T have, the Time or, the Experience to, "work up" Loads & Validate, the Bullet to, the Scope.
Dusty, I was just, stating, a FACT from what,.. I had Heard.
Watch the Podcasts to, HEAR for, yourself.
I'm fairly SURE that, some Money, is at "Play" with, THIS "Move" !
Craze or, Not, the 7 PRC is getting to BE,.. VERY,. "Popular" !
Personally, I'd build, a 7 SAUM for, Myself "Specked" around, the 168 Berger, H-VLD's for, Elk / Moose.

A little humor. Not criticizing the 28. Brother is very pleased w his.

One of my BR friends does barrel work for others. Guy has him chamber a 28 Nosler. Year later guy comes back and says he thinks the barrel needs set back. Asks him to scope it and let him know. My friend calls him up and says the barrel can be set back, he just needs to know what handgun he wants it fit to.

400-500 yards is not a hard shot with the right rifle on a good rest and good scope magnification. Especially with a fast high bc round. Even a little bit of wind doesnt move it that much. Just need to practice a lot and know your load. Its like anything else, you train for it you become competent. The ego is in check
Understood. But, I think most underestimate the effect of wind, especially at these distances and where what you see in some grass 100 yds in front of you is not what is happening further down range. I'm not interested in this long range hunting. It's more waiting that it is hunting.
