I finally got time to start a little load work on my personal 28. Now that season opens tomorrow
Its built on a trued 700, 26" 8.5 twist, rem mag contour, rock creek, Mcmillan hunter edge fill stock. Rifle weights 8.5lbs with scope.
This ladder was shot at 300 yards off a bi-pod in some decent wind, rl 33, 195 hybrids. I moved the group a minute to the right after shot 1. Shot 1 was 83.5, shot 13 was 89.5, every shot went up .5 grains. Shots 3-6 measured .535" of vertical over a 2 grain spread. This is the node I usually recommend guys start at, about 3050 fps. Shot 11-13 showed about an inch of vertical. Shot 13 running 3208 fps. That one started showing a little ejector mark but still had easy bolt lift. I will shoot the 3050 node, as for me its plenty. The more of these I get feedback on the more I like them. They really are like the 6br of big magnums...
