28 nosler and h1000?

Has anyone had good results with h1000 and 195 berger in the 28 nosler, I see ALOT of rl 33 loads out there. I have alot of h1000 and no rl 33 so wanted to check before I bought some 33. Thanks

I've used H1000 and 180's and it shot great. Speed was around 3115 fps with 26" barrel.

I have seen a few that shot the 180s but not the 195 with h1000. I may give it a try but seems rl33 is the overwhelming favorite....

I have my 28 Nosler currently shooting 180 Lapua Scenars. I did shoot a ladder test with 195 Hybrids and RL-33. I found 85-86 to be a good node. Speed was stable at 3050 fps. I would think H1000 would work well, but its not going to fast. H1000 is a great stable powder. Give it a try and see how it does.

My 28 likes 82.5 of RL 33 with the 195.

I have no pressure issues with RL33 in my 26 or 18 Nosler. As for carbon, not much to say. I clean them every 40-50 rounds. I have shot my Nosler from 50- 90 deg weather without any issues. Maybe I got lucky with the powder lot or something.

I decided against reinventing the wheel. The 28 Nosler likes RL 33. The planets were relatively aligned that day. Here's five shots at 500 meters. Berger 168 HVLD, CCI 250s and new, untouched ADG brass.

I bet their barrels last longer.

I have had the best results with the 180s with H1000 and Retumbo with the 195s. I tried R33 in a couple of rifles chambered in 28 Nosler and I could never get the accuracy I wanted out of it. Shot decent but nothing to write home about.
