270 winchester 140 accubond

Any one have any insight where to start with 140gr accubonds for the 270? I'm shooting a remington 760 gamemaster 22" barrel. I've got a great load with 150 gr nosler ballistic tips but I cant find much for the 140 gr accubonds. I have 4831sc, 8208 xbr, varget, 4895, 4350 and 7828. The first 3 are what I have the most of. Thanks!

H4831is what I use with magnum primers (either CCI 250 or Fed 215). This is with a bolt gun. I'm not sure if the pump action would make a difference or not.

Thanks guys! I'll see what I can come up with. Hodgdons site is where I generally start but theres only 2 powders I have for their 6 140 loads listed. I wouldn't think being a pump would matter. My 150 g bt load is a nickel at 100 yds. I'm just trying to get a load to dual purpose for white tail and bear

4831sc is the first powder I tried and it shot so well I didn't bother trying anything else for a hunting load.

If a 270win rifle doesn't shoot small groups with H-4831 / H-4831sc, then it will never shoot good, no matter what you feed it.
Same goes for any cartridge where H-4831 is a suitable powder.

I'm done with Nosler. Their customer service sucks. I had a box of 140/.270 Accubonds that the tips were falling off in the box! Not only that but the tails of the tips were GONE! They were NOT in the bullet cavity plus there was a good bit of corrosion where the jacket meets the polymer tips. Nosler tried to claim that the box was over 20 years old but that dog won't hunt since the Accubonds weren't introduced till 2003! If they won't stand behind their products then I won't spend my money on what they're selling!

I have loaded for a couple different rem 760. I would full length size, trim brass to consistent length and load to mid range of data for a specific bullet. A light crimp will not hurt groups.

Never loaded for a pump but loaded for autos. always ran a little crimp. You dont have that bolt to jam them in the chamber. Mine ran better with a little crimp. Doug
